3D print a wireless mouse
A new tutorial from Instructables teaches you how to 3D print a wireless mouse. At this point, it only has a 3D printed case, but it’s a good starting point if you want to fully 3D print your own working mouse!
3D print your own superhero suit
Russel Jeschke of Graphix Monster designed and 3D printed a cool Batman suit, because of the new game “Batman: Arkham Knight”. Now, they are working on a Red Hood character. What about 3D printing a functional superhero costume with conductive filament and electronic effects for next Halloween?
3D printed, modular prosthetic hand
After years of research and trials, the Biomechanical robotics group developed a 3D printed, functional, modular prosthetic hand called “Nu Hand”. The 3D printed prosthetic hand can be made with accurate dimensions, its cost is only 10% of the traditional manufacturing method, and it’s modules can be reprinted and replaced at any time. The materials used are PLA, and low elasticity and high endurance fiber for the tendons. The movement is very similar to how our natural motion works. For example, Nu Hand’s fingers can support lateral movement, waving, or carrying something big.
Although, the team has made great progress, this 3D printed prosthetic hand is still under development and the project is seeking funding through Kickstarter.
